??? Miss Mercer's grade 2 class at Cedar Elementary took a step back in time to learn about legendary artist Michelangelo. After learning about his incredible ceiling paintings, they put themselves to the test by trying to create art upside down just like he did. With paper taped under their desks and felts and pencil crayons in hand, students quickly realized how tricky (and fun!) it was to create art from that angle. A hands-on way to appreciate the dedication and talent of one of history's greatest artists! Swipe through to see these young artists in action.

???? From music to science to sports, students at EDM were engaged in all kinds of hands-on learning at our recent visit! ? In music class, students sang Two Tigers, a Chinese folk song, in both English and Chinese. ?? ? Over in Mme. April’s class, students practiced reading out loud in French, while in Mme. Sue’s class, young scientists explored transparency by shining flashlights through objects to see if they were translucent, transparent, or opaque—en fran?ais, bien s?r! ?? ? In the gym, Mme. Haggard’s grade 1-2 students worked on their basketball skills through fun station activities, and in the library, students eagerly signed out books to enjoy at home. ??
